Here is the order I would go:
- Meyer - The #1 slot was the toughest for me to select, great recruiter and coach.
- Richt - Great recruiter, above average coach.
- Spurrier - If he were a little younger, best game day coach in the league, average recruiter.
- Petrino - Fiery coach, hated by those around him.
- Nutt - At AR he did more with less; he will have more talent this year.
- Tubberville - Let's just say, I wasn't disappointed when he didn't leave Auburn.
- Miles - Ok, he won a national championship, but I am not completely sold on him.
- Fulmer - Great recruiter, average coach, needs good assistants.
- Croom - He has done better than I thought he would; he could go higher.
- Brooks - Kentucky looked like a real team this year.
- Johnson - Who knows? He coaches at Vandy...
Now that I am done, I would put Saban at the top of the list - best recruiter in the league and above average coach. That's a combo that will win you championships!

Richt - Consistency with winning and recruiting.
ReplyDeleteMeyer - Came into Zook's players. only time will tell. However he is Living in the state of aweome recruits.
Spurrier - Will never get talent needed to show the coach he is there.
Petrino - will get some talent. will take time. About 3 to 4 years
Nutt - Will meet their goals. Will have this job as long as he wants it.
Tubberville -Heading south fast. bama's recruit are now coming home.
look at the years auburn has done good and the year of probation for alabama. (surprise surprise)
Fulmer - living in the past. Time for a change.
Miles - Saban recruits have done well for Miles. He will be gone in 2 years.
Croom - At the best he'll be.
Johnson - To many SEC schools recruiting around him.
Brooks - Could be great later on.
BamaAddict: Good point about Meyer winning with Zook's players. Though as you point out, it is hard not to recruit well in FL. I too believe Fulmers days are numbered.
