Saban has high praise for Charles Hoke
Charles Hoke, who is giving up football after recurring problems with his shoulder. Saban said Hoke's shoulder came out of place twice during the last week of spring practice. He will go on medical scholarship.

University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban, making his third stop on a tour around the state, told media representatives on Thursday that he was 'disappointed' that a college football playoff was unlikely to materialize before the year 2014.

A judge threw out the $5 million verdict an Alabama football fan won in his lawsuit accusing the NCAA of slander, ruling in a decision made public Wednesday that jurors were wrongly swayed by prejudice against the sanctioning organization.
