Nick Saban on avoiding the injury bug
"We've been fairly fortunate so far, you always knock on wood because sometimes these things happen and you really don't have much control over them," Saban said. "It's something that we'll have to manage on our team at some point throughout the year, but I think the fact that our players worked hard in the offseason are in pretty good condition. We've improved the strength level. We had all but two of our freshmen here for the entire summer. All those things seem to contribute in a positive way maybe to being able to stay healthy."

For example, the grueling two-a-days of preseason camp actually are delighting the sophomore center, simply because he's still out there. "I'm done with injuries," Motley said Monday. "For the rest of my career here, I don't want any more of those. I've had enough to last a lifetime."
