Nose tackle Terrence Cody's impressive size wows Crimson Tide teammates
The first time Antoine Caldwell saw nose tackle Terrence Cody was on a basketball court. Caldwell won't soon forget. After all, how many 400-pound guys can throw down a dunk with a 360-degree turn in the air? "It's kind of weird to see that kind of stuff," said Caldwell, the Crimson Tide's senior center and offensive captain. "I was kind of nervous at first. ... The dude is an incredible athlete."
Tide's Davis gains weight, possibly starting job
The 6-foot-7, 305-pounder is a strong candidate to be Alabama's starting right tackle despite playing in only two games over the past two seasons. "It feels good. It feels much deserved, but you still have to keep working," Davis said. He has worked sufficiently hard to gain some 30 pounds over the past year, bulking up enough to become the latest candidate to fill the troublesome spot on the right side of the line.
