Alabama’s $4 million man worth every penny
The effect college football coaches have goes beyond filling seats in a stadium - though that’s pretty significant also if your stadium holds 92,138 people. Excitement about a football program can help a college raise money and encourage more people to enroll there. Less than two years into his tenure, Nick Saban has been worth the investment Alabama made, and that’s after a 7-6 season. Any winning the coach does from here on out will be icing on the cake, though I’m sure ‘Bama fans are expecting a little of that to go along with the magazine covers and whatnot.

Saban Gives Scholarships To Alabama Walk-ons
Alabama coach Nick Saban said Tuesday placekicker Leigh Tiffin, punter P.J. Fitzgerald and defensive back Tyrone King were given scholarships.
