Is Nick Saban, College Football's Hatchet Man?
In the corporate world there is a term used for the man that terminates peoples careers. That man is called, "Hatchet Man!" I summit to you that college football has its own version of the "Hatchet Man," and his name is Nick Saban. Consider the following evidence.
Saban not fearful of Tiger fans' welcome
Alabama coach Nick Saban was told Monday that an LSU fan threw a lit cigar at Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville near the visitor's locker room after the LSU game in Tiger Stadium in 2001. But Saban's still coming back to LSU, where he coached the Tigers to a 27-14 win over Auburn that day for their first Southeastern Conference West title. Saban's No. 1 Crimson Tide (9-0, 5-0 SEC) can clinch the West Saturday if it beats No. 15 LSU (6-2, 3-2 SEC) at 2:30 p.m. in Tiger Stadium on CBS. "No, we're fine. We're fine," Saban said when asked by Dubberly if there would be a need for extra security at Tiger Stadium.
Alabama’s Cody returns to practice
Alabama nose guard Terrence Cody will be day to day for the top-ranked Tide’s Saturday game against No. 15 LSU. Coach Nick Saban said Monday that Cody, who missed two games with a knee injury, was returning to practice for the LSU game. Saban said Cody has done a good job rehabbing his injury and that he hasn’t gained weight during his absence.
