Camp rewind: Tracking the newcomers ...
Much of the chatter around preseason camp has been about the new arrivals from that top-ranked recruiting class. So let's talk about that. Perhaps one day, Nick Saban will get to the point where incoming freshmen, no matter how touted, will no longer be viewed with such reverance and importance. But that is not the case this year, and from my viewpoint, the Crimson Tide has received a much-needed infusion of talent that should help this year in spite of the limitations in using a lot of young players.

You see him, and the difference is striking. Is this really the skinny freckle-faced kid who was recruited out of Southlake, Texas, in 2006? You talk to him, and his poise is impressive. The word 'I' almost never comes out of his mouth, and everything is about the team or teammates and what they want to accomplish.

Now you don't have to listen to Fran... and other stuff!
The Crimson Tide Radio Network and Live Sports Radio announced today that they will offer home and away UA football broadcasts - without any delay - while in the stadium. For the Aug. 30 at the Georgia Dome, this is the only way to listen to the Tide's broadcast.
